Default the oddest thing happened to my engine. Please read

ok guys i have a 90 integra with a b17a swap. Basically what i have was headers, intake, test pipe, exhuast, p28 w/spoon program and comp stage 2 cams. Now right after i put the cams in (which were used before me) i drove home kinda punching it to see the gains i got. The gains were really noticiable. But close to getting home it started to like misfire. So i pulled over and thought either i was running out of gas or that the battery was getting loose. So i went to get gas and it still didnt start right. So i pushed it like two block to my house. I tried to keep starting it but then i stopped cause it was pointless. So i took off the valve cover i realized the timing belt was loose cause the tensioner was loose. So today i took the car to a mechanic and he told me it looked like one valve was bent and told me he was gonna take the head off. When i went by the shop the head was off and when i looked there was only three pistons. He told me he has never seen anything like that before. What happened was the piston blew into thousands of little pieces. That and the sleeve cracked and the piston wall. Has this ever happened to anyone before? Now i dont know wether to buy a b17 block or go ls vtec. If anyone has a either to sell me let me know. thanks for reading

i was thinking about it but how reliable is it and im really not used to shifting like at 7500. If i do go ls/vtec i definitely want to build it right and probably boost it. So should what kind of low compression pistons should i go with and would i still be redlining at 7500. Any advice would help.
