01 Accord A/C wont work
All the sudden (as usual) my A/C compressor clutch will not engage, checked power to the clutch and get ZERO volt DC when it should operate, cant seem to locate a bad fuse, maybe a power relay but cant locate that if there is one, is there anything else to cause the compressor not to run??IE a low pressure switch or something like that.
If you have a leak and all the r134 oil is gone, the ac compressor will not engage to save wear on the compressor.
Get a dye test done to your ac system.

you got it wrong ... there is a pressure sensor that senses if your system still has a proper amout of freon and if it is low it will not allow the compressor to turn on ... so first thing is to take it to a ac shop and ask them to check the system and they will usually tellyou what the problem is

Yes...it will go into a safe mode cycle and just continuously try to turn on and then phase off. I would just suggest bringing it to a trusted shop or perhaps a dealer, they are probobly going to rape you with labor cost, but perhaps they can give you some in depth insight to what you could do to completely fix it...typically if its low on freon, it doesnt just stop all of the sudden, you have times when its not cold and times when its EXTREMELY cold, you also have alot of moisture which can blow into the car, even with the windows up. A/C systems are such a pain sometimes.
He stated that his clutch is not engaging so I believe that the problem lies in the control unit (it is not telling the AC to turn on. There is a possibility that the pressure switch is bad but if it was the system will still cycle on and off.

This is true...but it also seems like he's kinda going at it blind with no real a/c work experience, so diagnosing it with certainty will probobly not be too easy...since he didnt know this already, which is why i was saying atleast have them tell him what is wrong with it exactly...then if he wants to try to repair it he can, but atleast he'll know for sure.
I appreciate all of your help, I have a feeling its going into the shop, My expertise stops at checking to see if there is power to the clutch when the AC (should) be on. Obviously there is no voltage, which tells me one of several things: dash switch, fuse, relay, pressure switch....you name it, more than I can figure out. Thanks again
There is a relay in the underhood fuse box for the ac compressor, also fuse 58 feeds this relay and in turn the ac compressor clutch. Beyond this the trouble shooting gets complicated.
