Default best way to run cooling fan

i have over heating problems with my ls vtec. i run the loop on the sensor that plugs into the thermostat housing, but for some reason it doesnt always turn on. thought that was wierd. anyone run a loop on the relay?

u can splice the wire and make a switch so it can always be on
