WHAT BRAND HID LIGHTS ARE WORTH BUYING???
I AM CONTEMPLATING ON BUYING SOME HID'S SOON. WHAT BRANDS ARE GOOD AND WILL NOT *** OUT ON ME REALLY FAST. I WAS LOOKING INTO McCOLLOCH AND ALSO HELLA AND PHILLIPS. LET ME KNOW YOUR OPINIONS...
Don't type in all caps. There's a website for HIDs, I forgot what it was. Search the prelude forum for HIDs and there's a link in one of the threads.
I hear the Philips Ballasts are good. Made in Germany.
Also, make sure your bulbs are made in Germany too and not some other place. Supposedly those are better.
-aoib0t, who should go home now.

Mculloch is junk... actually all HID kits are junk IMHO. Pretty much all retailers have been banned from selling them because they're crappy.
OEM HID projector retrofit is the only thing worth spending money on IMHO.
It doesn't matter how good the components are, if the housings aren't made for HID (and Integra projectors surely aren't) then it's going to suck.

I'm not saying you shouldn't get HID. Hell I will never go back. But take it from me and many others here who have had HID in the stock projectors and know that it sucks, and then went to an OEM HID projector retrofit. We all wasted our money and ended up spending probably twice as much than had we done a retrofit in the first place.
Brands? I wouldn't use anything other than genuine Philips or Osram D2S bulbs. Philips and Hella are the most popular ballast manufacturers, but other cars, particularly Japanese models, come with Panasonic or Matsushita ballasts. The Philips and Hella ones are going to be the most readily available, particularly from http://www.hidplanet.com
You can also buy OEM HID projectors from there, and could probably pick up everything you need to do a retrofit for about the same cost as an HID kit.

Oh I see, Thank you so much for the input guys! I will go ahead and do it now. So exactly why is the "kits" shitty? I know that a oem hid projector would be better but what makes the stock teg projectors not so great? <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by PatrickGSR94 »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

listen to patrick
I want to go retrofit now, but if your set on a kit.. xenondepot.com has good quality ones. But take my word for it, go retrofit.
