Are there any benefits of getting coilovers vs. shocks and springs?
Some coilovers are adjustable (as far as ride height) Where as springs/struts are only adjustable as far as stiffness.

The car comes stock with coilovers.

The advantage (in general) to getting threaded body coilovers is the height adjustability. But also, it's easier to get "custom" rates with threaded body sleeves/shocks vs "drop springs" over non threaded body shocks.
Unless you have the know how of how to tune your suspension, get the spring and shock combo. Seat of the pants is not a way to properly tune a suspension. Most people (ricers) get the coilovers to be able to "slam" their car to the ground and later raise it a little bit. That's why all the bogus companies (i.e. Ractive) began producing them. Coilovers are good for corner-weighing your car and such, but again, without the know how, don't waste your money. My 2 cents.
