Default shifting problems in a 90 accord

ok, i changed the clutch in one of my friends cars. everything seem to be alright and i thought i finished but when i got into the car to turn it on the shifter was really stiff. I mean really really stiff. i had to put my whole weight into it just to get it out of gear. i have never done a cable clutch before so im thing it has to be that little box on top of the tranny where the cables connect to the tranny. also the clutch pedal sank down to the floor when i tried starting the car. do i have to beleed the clucht system? can you guys help me out i dont know wats wrong.

for sure sounds like you got air in the system or an open line,,as for the shifter you might want to double chk how you reconnected the cables when you installed the transm especially if shifter was not hard before
