Default H22 and H23 B-Pipe difference in lenght

Is there a difference in length between the H22 and H23 B-Pipe? Does the H23 B-pipe length vary? Any pictures would be great.

By B-pipe, I assume you are talking about the header downpipe. If so, there is no difference in length at all.

The difference between the H22 and H23 setup is the cat length and the length of the cat-back system.

The cat is a little longer on the H22. Since the cat is longer, the cat-back system is a little shorter compared to the H23.

H23 Downpipe w/Cat VS. H22 Downpipe w/Test Pipe

Headers and Cats are different lengths, but the cat-back is the same....

All I can say is that I had no issues with length when I installed my H22 downpipe on my car with the H23 cat. It was exactly lined up as it was with my H23 header.

Ill go ahead and post in this thread, since it is kind of on topic, I bolted up and 2000 (H22 of course) test pipe up to my 96 and it worked like a charm. I will be removing the test pipe, trying to reduce the raspyness, and replace it with my high flow cat.

Just wondering if there would be any more welding needed if I switch from H23 to H22.

I had to have the bolt holes on the header downpipe elongated to match up with the H23 cat. I have a JDM H22 header.

That's all that was required to make it work.

B-Pipe is the piping after the cat and before the muffler. The bottom part of the header is considered the A-pipe.

My main concern was that there would not be any additional welding IF I went H22. If I get an H22 with header I don't need to have my exhaust cut and rewelded to make up for a different in length. It's a straight bolt in affair. Correct?
