Default fuel pump is getting no power

Okay i put a walbro pump in my 92 hatch. I turn the key to the on position and i dont even hear the pump prime. I checked the plug on the pump for power and there is no power going to the pump. I went to check the fuses under the steering wheel and there is no diagram showing what fuse is to what. Also before i went to turn the car on, I was mounting the battery in the new box in the car and i arced the started to the transmission ground. It melted a couple of the wires on the ground. Could this be a problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Brian

It just doesn't turn off what-so-ever - even just a blip?

Have you tried checking for a code?

okay I run the pump straight off the battery and it works like a champ. Does this mean that the main relay was indeed bad. I still here no clicking from it, and the cel light doesnt even come on when i turn the key to the on position. Thanks for the help
