Default For the EM1 Gurus

Hi all,

Question for the parts experts on F/R brake pad replacements. The illustration in the link below shows only one pad set is required for the front brakes. Will this cover the left and right pads? Do I need to purchase the retainer clips or other hardware?

http://www.hondaautomotivepart...82%29

Same question for the rear brake setup. Do I just need to purchase one set for the left and right brake replacement?

http://www.hondaautomotivepart...SK%29

Finally, I need to replace the front right wheel bearing. Is the bearing the only part needed, or do I need the special circlip as well?

Thanks for reading. Any help would be appreciated.

Damn the charts on HAP suck. The ones at http://www.slhondaparts.com are much better, and I've gotten better service there as well.

Anyway, I couldn't make out the numbers, but the listing said:

22409 006 1 PAD SET, FR.

So, since it says set, that would be all you need. It doens't look like the clip is included, but you should replace it with the pads.

I would suggest going with something aftermarket for brakes though, those are pretty pricey and OEM brakes are sorely lacking.

Look up importRP in the sponsor section and pick up some Brembo blanks and PBR/Axxis metal masters. About the same price as OEM, and will last twice as long.

Also, just as an FYI, you might want to title your threads a bit better in the future so that if someone searches for 'brakes' this thread will come up.

Only one pad set is needed for the front and one pad set for the rear. A set includes four pads, shims, and grease (everything outlined in the diagram). The clips in the calipers are reused so there is no need to purchase those. Good luck

Thanks guys - very helpful. Any ideas on the front right wheel bearing replacement (last link in 1st post)?

EDIT: Illustration part #2 - is #20 needed as well when replacing?

You should only need the bearing itself
