Default Question on Chassis

Is there any difference between a DX hatch chassis as opposed to an Si chassis? if so what, and what are the diffs between a usdm and jdm chassis (just frame and body)? thanks

i believe the DX and Si share the same chassis, the differences lie in the exterier, interier, and engine components. i believe that the USDM and JDM chassis's are the same. but interier and exterior pieces are different, the radiator support is different, i believe the front crossmember is also different.

i saw a post you made about a rolling chassis earlier... are you gunna get a chassis and assemble a car?? sounds like fun and i'm always down for doing stuff like that!!!

if anyone has had the full interior out of an si and a dx, you'll notice they're not QUITE the same.

for example, in the space between the rear wheel wells and the doors on the si, there are metal reinforcements that are not there on the dx. its just little things like that.

oh, and as far as i noticed (they were both really rusted, so i might be wrong) the front crossmembers were the same on my crx si and my hatch dx. and i know for sure the rear crossmember is the same (assuming its not power steering or automatic). the steering gear on the si is variable ratio, though, and the dx is not.
