just like the title says...It started happening last night...my B16s VTEC is unusually louder than normal now...car slows down when I hit VTEC kind of hesitating...
Anyone had this problem before? what could be wrong? Any suggestions? There are no engine code either...Weird...car is so slow now when VTEC hits...

VTEC solenoid screen might be dirty? Fuel filter needs to be changed? Oil level is fine...

Any suggestions?

I have worldsprot exhaust, which is normally quiet, but the other day i ate through the gasket from the cat and there is a smal exhaust leak...which makes the exhaust a little louder but vtec crossover is SO LOUD. check your exhaust, gaskets, and header for holes...

 

try adding some oil or checking yours. My friends car would fall out of vtec from not having enough oil

Oil Level is fine though...and mine doesn't fall outta VTEC...it just bogs and slows down when VTEC hits...

 

but yeah i'll look underneath if I have an exhaust leak...

 

ehhh...it turns out that the cat went kaput...the meshy thingy that sits inside broke off and it's now sitting sideways...If I remember right...the mesh thing inside the cat should be facing forward not sideways right?
