Default Full Size Tire in Spare Tire Well

How well does a full-size wheel/tire fit in the spare tire well in the hatch of the ITR?

Assuming it fits, does it raise the level of the plastic piece that forms the hatch floor?

a full sized tire/wheel fits in there, but the black trunk cover will be rendered useless as it will no longer sit properly (it will be raised)

I don't know if an oem wheel with a 195/55/15 tire fits flush in the spare tire well. I do know that a 205/50/15 azenis on an oem wheel is too tall for the plastic cover to sit flush.

Yup. That's with a stock 195/55/15 size.

I had my spare UKDM wheel in there, and I still used the black cover...and I'm almost positive it sat flush. It had/has OEM tire on it, however. You guys putting it face down, ri?

It fits like the OE spare does. You have to flip the metal piece over before you screw the bolt back in. The wheel has to be put in with the inside facing up.

It does raise the plastic piece up a few inches. (205/50/15 for my example)

Same here, never tried with a 195/55.
[edit] Wait a minute, I thought you were the master of stuffing tires in a car, Ken?

Don't need it if I'm carrying a sh*tload of full-size track tires around in the car...

I always have a few cans on hand, even with the car stuffed with tires and crap. Who wants to really swap a tire on the side of the road anyway, and if on the way to or from the track is most likely O'dark thirty in the AM or after dark again and tired as hell in the evening.

Who was that Civic guy who used my fix-o-**** at LRP last year? Dunn remember his name but I know he is on here and was grateful that I had it and it worked for him.

Back half the damned thing and fit as much and even more crap in there that you want.

Start trailering and worry less about tires for the R but ya gotta worry about trailer flats & issues. Like last year when my trailer losts it's brakes altogether It just never ends...

I dont know if JDM integras have a shallower wheel well, but i used to keep a full size 185/60/14 wheel in my last teg and it raised the floor piece a good few inches. I havent managed to get a full size wheel for my ITR as i need a 4x114.3 wheel and any i see at junk yards have too high a profile on them to be of any use.

And I fit the full size oem gsr wheel into my gs-r well, not that this helps much...
