My car is 97 civic, when I stuck in traffic for more than 5 or 10 mins, my car's idle speed will be rised up to 1500-2000rpm from normally 600-7000rpm, which let me felt uncomfortable for driving, and this thing only happend in summer, hot days! I never faced this problem in winter or other seasons.
When I get out from the traffic and everything will back to normal and feels good. This thing happened last summer as well. and a mechanic told me to clean the throatle body, but actually when I cleaned it last year, it was not dirty, and the thing still happened.
I just wanna know that is it normal or not? could anybody help me or got the same experience?
