"Hunt sets new NDRA Pro Outlaw Front Wheel Drive Record at MIR
The NDRA is proud to announce that Saturn Motorsports of San Diego driver Jason Hunt has set a new NDRA ET record in their Saturn Motorsports of San Diego, Matco Tools, Valvoline Syn Power, Pilot Automotive Ion Quad Coupe this past weekend at Maryland International Raceway. The 7.717 at 194.16 was found to be backed up properly during a standard run review by the NDRA staff and establishes Jason Hunt as the P/F record holder. Jason Hunt and crew chief Charlie Schaeffer are both rookies in their roles for 2005 and have two wins to their credit in NDRA competition.

Jason will receive a $1000 bonus as the newest member of the NDRA’s 7 Second Club for front wheel drive competitors. He becomes the fourth member as he joins Lisa Kubo, Ron Lummus and Gary Gardella, there are only 6 places remaining in the Elite 7 Second Club. "

Jason has gone faster than Lisa did in the same set up as last year. Now that they did that I bet they are going to make some changes now and go faster. Not taking anything away from all the great things lisa did because she did an awesome job last year.

Just like they did an awesome job in sfwd/T4, you can expect the same in Pro Fwd from them. Best of luck in guys.

Couldn't agree with you more Art. These Guys have all things that make a great a team and are showing it on the track everytime they go out. Big ups to the whole Saturn Team. Let everyone else keep hatin' Jason you da MAN.

Congrats guys, I know Charlie had some "unfinished business" with that car, looks like he's taking care of that! Couldn't have picked a better driver to do it with either.

She is going to Funny car school???After Epler got rid of her?Well unless she buys a car and a team I would think it might be a little tuff to get a ride.If Jim didn't want to hold her hand .Why would somebody else.Maybe she could afford an Alcohol car .But I just can't see her getting a Fuel deal.Besides there is enough girls driving fuel cars as it is.LOL

Yeah, it only went 7.72 @ 191 at the same race a whole year ago.

C'mon man, it obvious you're trying to start ****. Lisa and Gary did alot with that car, nobody is doubting that. Jason and Charlie are just picking up where they left off. Everyone involved with that car since day one deserves credit and has recieved it. Don't make this something it's not. I'm pretty sure respect is given between everyone involved.

 

well the car ran an 8.0 @ 14X. I happened to see the timeslip and know how fast of a run it was on.
