ls vtec vs gsr

which is better a ls vtec or a b18c1 engine i herd the ls vtec is better since the ls has more torque and then with the vtec head it will have a good top end too but im still not shure which one is better what do you think guys?

my friend has an ls vtec in his car with a b16head and gsr cams and gears and this thing is pretty fuking crazy alot faster than my car (00 si) which is as fast as my friends 97gsr
