How to restore JDM ITR header finish
the red/brown stuff is welds....their not gonna come off....i know to weld and most of the time you can't clean it to well....

You want your header to look brand new? JDM ITR heatshield I tell you. CAC!
I scuffed my JDM itr header with a scotch scuff pad. Looks better but definitely not silver. It is still dark brown.

Used Simple Green and Scotch Brite pads from Wally World......also used some rubber gloves cuz that stuff will eat your hands up
. And after that get started scrubbing and keep on scrubbing

yes.....eventually it will go back to what it was like before......but i plan to have it powder coated to help prevent or slow the process down.

They won't powder coat exhaust parts because it won't withstand the heat usually

Thats the finish I want. I'm definitly gonna use the simple green and scotch pads method. After I install the header for the first time, wipe it down with wd-40 for a goldish finish.
