When I first moved out here to oklahoma, one of the first things I did was take a ltrip to see the murrah building memorial. Sadly, on this day (april 19th) 10 years ago, 2 people decided to bomb the fedral building in the heart of downtown oklahoma city. I took these pics to share with whomever wanted to see them.

The #'s on the walls represent the time that the blast occured. It happend at 9:02am.

In this picture, to the left you can see chairs in the grass, these are there to represent those who lost their lives in the bombing.

This picture is of the building that was next door to the murrah building. If you look closely you can see crack in the upper left corner of the building. And amazingly that tree also withstood the blast.

To this day people still bring items to honor the people who lost their lives.

This was written by a rescue worker during the serch for survivors.

This sign explains the writing on the wall above^^

very touching pics its good to see that their making a monument to honor all those that passed away in that accident. on a different note what are they doing to honor all those that died in the twin towers ?

Thanks for the kind words, 168 people died in the blast, thats far short than 9/11, but 1 dead is too many IMO. They held a moment of silence for 168 seconds to honor them.
