I revved my engine because my friend wanted to hear my exhaust with the silencer in it and it backfired (usually does this but not so much) and it looked like all this smoke came out as if something like carbon on my silencer ignited.... any thoughts? i have a 3" high flow cat about 2 months old with 3" exhaust all the way back with a jackson supercharger... i dont believe it is the headgasket because it did not smell sweet... any ideas? ill be doing a compression check later tommorow..

 

i think is normal for backfire of a boosted car

 

i know in turbo cars, usually when u basckfire your running rich?? and my friend has a h22 accord with a test pipe, and he backfires at redline sumtimes...

 

Thanks for the replies guys, i think its just because im running rich. This old guy in an suv drove by when it happened and said "thats not good" haha
