Default gsr vss

my 94 gsr vss went bad and when i call the dealer to get a new vss, they sent me a 2 bolt vss, i need a 1 bolt vss and they say that is the only listing, somebody help?

the two bolts hold it to the tranny, and the one bolt holds the connector.

isn't the VSS on the rear wheels somewhere?

On a B series, the VSS is on the tranny by the final drive.

only one bolt holding it to the tranny and it canniot be seperated from the connector, it looks like a 99-00 si vss

That's what i was thinking...lucky bastard...got a b16 tranny!!!! that's what i'm thinking i'm gonna change to when my tranny goes out

looks like a 99-00 si vss but its not, the gear on my vss is about an 1/8 inch longer than 99-00 si vss

Hmmm...that's strange...every GSR tranny i've seen had the same 2 bolt VSS

yup same here, all integra trannys are 2 bolt i believe, im thinking it could be an older jdm b16 out of like a sir2 or del sol dohc vtec

possibly the 99-00 si vss will work, i guess ill try that

or you can always hook up a hamster in a wheel and gear it to the VSS so it can spin it as u drive...haha

Its not a 99-00 si vss, I replaced mine on my old si and it had only one bolt.

Not that I am saying you are crazy, but just a suggestion. I thought that my VSS stopped working but it turned out being that all my grounds needed replacing. I lived at the beach at the time so everything had become a corodded mess.

BTW: this VSS came off of my 1994 LS tranny:



if I remember correctly, I replaced it with a 2 bolt VSS but only screwed in one bolt.

I believe the gear is the same. I have a gsr, si and ctr gear and they all look the same. If it isn't though just swap them. All you have to do is pull out the pin, then swap them and then put the pin back in.
