Default RPS Clutch Questions **turboclutch.com**

i've never used an RPS product before mainly because i've had good luck with act.

now, i'm putting a friends motor together and he decided to go with an RPS clutch. a d-series clutch/pressure plate was ordered from them and they sent an h-series pressure plate with a d-series clutch. i'm not sure how the person shipping could overlook something so obvious...but it was definitely a mistake on their end. i called them, customer service seemed friendly...and i sent the clutch back at a cost of 8.00 out of my pocket. (no big deal...i can afford to spend 8.00 on shipping) so i get the new clutch/pressure plate back (they asked me to send the clutch/pressure plate back together) and it turns out i get a d-series pressure plate with some other type of clutch. it doesn't seem to be honda because its smaller than a d-series splined clutch which leads me to believe its something else...at least not d-series.

anyway, long story short i'm just wondering if anyone else has had to deal with this from RPS. like i said previously, they were friendly enough on the phone although i'm getting pissed because this is taking forever to finish.

I have had a bad experience with them and finally got my tranny off last night to look at it.

What happened with mine is that from the center of the disc to the about an 1.5in outwards full diameter was eaten away a few mm's more than the rest of the disc, and it was like this throughout on the flywheel too.

It ALMOST seems like the pressure plate pushed too hard in the middle instead of evenly allowing it to just completely eat away at the middle section in less than 4 months.

I still havent decided whether I will give them a 2nd chance or not.

I will say for me the following:

I have had no problems with my clutch/flywheel setup (knock on wood). I am pushing over 600 whp through it, and I love the way it feels and engages. But to each his own. I am very happy with my set up.
