the regs. say the gates will be open all night, but last year I arrived late (as I always do and the gate guy wouldn't let us in


again this year i will be there after midnight....will the gate be open or will the "tool" working the gate refuse to let me in again...

I ask yet again 'cause last year I asked the same question, and was told the gate would be open, arrived about 1:00 am and the guy had i locked and wouldn't let us in.....pretty much sucked after a LONG DAY (3 hour drive back from richmond....6 hours to CMP)

 

Chris talked to the track about this problem just recently, and you will be able to get in all night long. This was supposed to happen in the past, but apparently when the gate guy fell asleep, he wouldn't awake for anyone.

You might want to print this out and bring it with you. That way the 'tool' can't argue with you. ..but then you'll have to explain what tool means... hehe

Last year we wound up camping in a church parking lot because the gate guy would not let us in at 11:00 pm. I'll be sure to be there earlier this year!!


and Sam - You must be hard up for a race to make a 10 hour drive to CMP! Doesn't mid-ohio have you spoiled?

Yes, Mid Ohio has me spoiled, but I have to go where the competition is, and for Honda Challenge H5, right now that is ECHC. With 5-7 strong entries every race, it is the group I found myself wanting to race with, and all the competitors are great people off the track as well. That, and the extra contingencies don't hurt either.
