Default Is this a good deal?

Ok, so in my other post, I said I was going to to try to paint my own car, but all you guys on H-T Freaked me out, so I decided to have a shop paint my car. I called around my area, and like two shops, said they would paint my car if prepped it myself. The others said they wanted nothing to do with my prep work. haha, But the minimum for any of the shops I called was 5Gs. The shop that said they would take my prep work said that If I provided the paint, and the clear, they would spray it for me. The labor would cost me $7 dollars an hour.Do you think thats a good deal? Im ordering my paint from paintscratch, and thats going to cost me about 500, and labor im assuming is going to be around 500-$600. Do you guys think thats a good deal? Alsoo, do you think one gallon of paint will be enough for two base coats and two clear coats?

What you have to do is figure out what your time is worth+cost of paint/materials and figure that vs. what it would cost you to have a shop do the whole thing soup to nuts. If the difference is worth it you then go ahead. Alot of times the difference is not worth the aggravation and you come out ahead just having a shop do the whole job and you'll have some type of warranty to boot. Good luck.
