Default 2002 Honda CBR

Anyone own a 2001 or 2002 Honda CBR motorcyle? How are they?

we just got our 954 in today. i built it and took it for a ride. The demo version I rode was better because I could open it up due to motor break in. The 600s are unchanged this year sans color options. They are still great as well for the rider who is still learning.

Still learning?? If i had learned on a CBR 600F4i Im 99% sure i would be dead... Ive had enough scary close calls due to inexperience with a single cylinder 500cc bike with barely 22hp on 430 lbs, let alone 4 cylinders, 100hp and 370 lbs... craziness.

my first bike is my current one and I'm not dead. respect the bike and it's power and don't do stupid things, everything will be fine, but do bone-headed stunts and disregard other cars as dangers, you could get hurt.

See, your mature approach is a very rare one in the world of motorcycling as Im sure you know. My comment was based on the "norm" ive experienced.

Thats the approach I endorse. Most dont do it, but a 600 is fine for a responsible person to be riding. I had mine for less than a year before I rode a 1L and had to get one. Not so much for the speed, but for the ease of power and roll one. I didnt have to work quite as hard, which I liked. BUt now Im getting a V-Twin. Toss up between Mille and RC51

ahhh, now you got me thinking about more torque for daily stop light to stop light driving. Even though I need to slightly shift a little later, I guess I'm more than happy with it. I just see getting a larger bike would be too much for my 140lb skinny ***, but more torque would be welcomed.

If all thing were equal it would be a toss, but isn't the Mille going cost out the A$$? The RC51 is a great bike. I rode one last summer and it had lots of low-end. Very fun ride.
