To start, post up your entire timeslip including 60ft times. It's probably your launch that's messing you up. Where did you shift each time?

Wow, that's your problem. You want your 60ft to be in the 2.x at least... How do you launch? Did you just dump the clutch? Did you have extreme wheel hop and vibration? That's where you lost a lot of time...

i dont' think his shift points even matter in this case. He just needs to learn to get off the line. No flaming.....just that practice makes perfect...err close to perfect lol

good luck buddy

lol who cares about the trap when he's got a 60ft time like that. do some searches on launching so you can cut down on that and your times will drop considerably.

It is mostly your 60 ft but Motegi's are heavy as hell too. I would blame it on them if it was me

are your tires bald? maybe you were spinning the whole time?? not trying to flame at all but I ran a 2.9 60ft in my stock mazda 323. I dont know, go somwhere desolate and practice your launch. Also an 11 second 1/8th is very slow for a gsr Ive seen a LS with those same mods run a 9.9. Maybe your track is dirty we have that problem here in jacksonville, I dont know it could be hundreds of reasons. give us a full rundown on what you did. What RPM's did launch at, what RPM's did you shift at? (its a GSR so you should have been shifting in the 7thousand range I would guess)

when the staging lights came on did you rev up to at least 2k rpm?

when the last yellow came on did you go?reation time will make the car move when it is green.

Max each gears rpm out before shifting. You have power in each gear till 8k rpm

My first time at the track I pulled a 15.2
I have yet to be able to get that again. My trap speed was 92mph I believe.

Your launch needs the most work by looking at your #'s.
Rev up get a little spin of the tire, feather(work) the clutch till the tires grip.
This is why you hear people complaining about tire/wheel hop. When spinning the tires on an agressive launch, the cars weight is transfered to the rear(physics) and the front end becomes light. You will have to rev the engine up to get ample power to get an agressive start and use the clutch so the rpms don't drop since our integra's don't have very much toque to pull them outta the hole.

Before I goto the track I:
-oil change
-clean cai filter(change filter on non-aftermarket intakes)
-valve adjustment (.008 exhaust,.007 intake)
-tank of fule injector cleaner when summer starts(get this at local parts store and pour it in the gas tank)
-check tires for tread.
Overall make sure routine maintenance has been done:
fuel filter
spark plugs
distributor cap
rotor
plug wires

Getting a 4.3 60ft is pretty bad...i mean either you REALLY babied it out of the hole or you just did a huge burnout. I mean i've had what felt like some bad launches but they were still like 2.6-2.9. My best run was a 2.4 60 and i went 14.7 at 95 with the mods in my sig. I guess you just need to practice launching and shifting faster. Usually the best way to launch is to SLIP the clutch from like 3-4k rpms. Usually it will result in maybe a little bit of wheelspin but not too much, and the rev's shouldn't drop below 4-5k once you get going. Then its just shifting, watch the tach and when it gets to redline or a bit after pound it into the next gear...thats it

i ran almost the same time my first run in my gsr
i am more used to launching w/ slicks... i had some shitty *** stret tires and launched at about 3500 rpms dropped the clutch, I pretty much spun the wheels until third gear.... race tracks are harder to launch with street tires... so i would practice in that area, but that trap speed does seem pretty low too

I vote for the rims

They may not be the only reason.. but i think they definetly have a factor in it - tirerack.com did a lot of testing on how weight affects accel and speed, it could also be your suspension not giving you enough traction, messing up your launch.. things like that.

As for the driving... like the other guys said practice shifting quicker.. one of my first mods was a short shifter, that helped me to be able to find the gears a lot quicker (when i first got my teg i had a nasty habbit of going from 1st to 4th lol) And don't forget your driving a rev-happy, hi-rpm, Vtec, Honda - don't be afraid to take it up there (just avoid bouncing the rev limiter) good luck

oh - and remember light-weight wheels are considered light-weight when they are a pound or more lighter than the diameter
