Washing conical air filter?

Default Washing conical air filter?

I have a conical air filter and was wdonering how do u wash it? Dishwasher? or just with a hose?

nm i guerss there is a kit for it, but could u do it in the dishwasher?

Pick up the K&N recharger kit and follow the instructions.

I would strongly recommend not putting it in the dishwasher.

You could just spray it with the hose and then let it sit in some soapy water (MILD SOAP!!) for 2 mins then spray of whatever's left. once its dry it'll run like brand freakin new.

Hrmm so thats what was happening to mine. I always wondered why my old filter seemd to get worse and worse after i would wash it so i would wash it some more.. and more. Eventually i tossed it for a new one.

How can you oil it if you dont have the kit? rub motor oil with your fingers?

just buy the k&n recharger kit. its like $10 at the autopart store.

YOU HAVE TO OIL IT AFTER... if you do not oil it then it wont be effective in stopping smaller particulites such as dust
