Washing conical air filter?

I would strongly recommend not putting it in the dishwasher.

You could just spray it with the hose and then let it sit in some soapy water (MILD SOAP!!) for 2 mins then spray of whatever's left. once its dry it'll run like brand freakin new.

Make sure it gets oiled afterwards so the element doesnt........rot out, or whatever it does.

Hrmm so thats what was happening to mine. I always wondered why my old filter seemd to get worse and worse after i would wash it so i would wash it some more.. and more. Eventually i tossed it for a new one.
How can you oil it if you dont have the kit? rub motor oil with your fingers?
Make sure it gets oiled afterwards so the element doesnt........rot out, or whatever it does.
