Default Alphawerks Header

Anyone buy or install an Alphawerks header for their F22 ?

I find the dyno claims REALLY hard to beleive.

Haven't used it, but after looking at the link, it looks like the second dyno was done not just with the header, but catback as well... If you scroll down, you'll see pics of exhaust installed.

Hard to say, really. But I would seriously doubt those kind of gains as well.

Yeah.. exhausts really don't do much. If the gain is from anything.. it's the header.

I'm skeptical.. wondering if any one of the thousands of honda tech members might have tried one yet.

What's the going rate for these? Cheaper than DC? If it's about the same price, I'd go with DC instead of taking a chance on a brand that's not as well known. Got my DC headers put on a few months ago and made a big difference

a header on an F22 won't get you any gains at all, from what I understand.

I call bullshit.

their relitivley new, correct....so not alot of people have tried them......based on their pricing, they probably give similar gains as the Greddy SS unit when using an aftermarket exhaust w/o cat and an intake.....bolt ons can easily make an extra 10 hp to the wheels on an F....but not much more.....

frankly, for $2-400, your not getting a JUN or Comptech header, so you cant expect that kind of quality....im sure every few hundred might have a weld fail on the flange, that kind of stuff that you expect from a DC or greddy header

i highly doubt the gains that they claim from just the header, but im running with Pacesetter Headers and i feel a difference in performance.

yea but the only thing is, for a 94-97 Accord, which is most likely running a high mileage F series motor, its hard to want to put out the money for anything more than one of these alphawerks headers or even one of those Kamikaze headers. The Comptechand JUN, although superior, just isnt worth it in my application. $279 for an alphawerks, if its comparable to a Greddy then i guess it cant be that bad, well in my case i have a thermal research cat back and exhaust which i bought a few years ago at a super high price, so yea, lets keep our fingers crossed that having that existing catback and exhaust, i can get some sort of gains!

I am building my own headers because I can and I need something to do with my time.

They say that only for EX's. The badge is taken off of that car so I don't know what it is but if its like 4th gens it has no sunroof its not an EX. Also they look like Jdm headers for the Bseries. Do you know what the size of the collector is? There is not a lot of info at the website.
17+ hp gain doesn't seem that unimaginable, but at the wheels? I bet the numbers are real there are just more additives they are no letting you know about. I see an intake in there also I bet they put some under drive pulleys on too. Then they probably took the worse run of the Accord stock and the best run after probably did a little tuning. Its all marketing the never said it was the headers only and we all see the exhaust. Misleading but probably true.

lol, true

Well, this is the way i see it, they say there are gains, and ****, i have cam sprockets, underdrive pulleys, an AEM cold air and a V2, a Cat-back and an exhaust, so if its at all possible i hope i can get those kinds of numbers. I want to write them an email and ask them what the parameters for that dyno run was.
