To DC2 owners 94-00, do you feel that the standards of vehicle lighting have been increased significantly in the past 10 years? I sure do. I have 2 3rd Gen integras, one GSR coupe and LS 4 door. I feel that our brakelights are way too dim and unnoticed compared to newer generation vehicles.
As we all have recently witnessed, the newer production cars are using LED for brakelights. I would love to be able to use this technology for my current aging integras. Whould anyon e know
if there are any manufaturers who offer this kind of product for our cars or a kit in which we can retro fit like HID Kits?
Here's a pic on a 2004 BMW M3

any pics of it installed?
I wonder if any of those Altezza brakelight companies are working on this type of brakelilght system.
If they do I hope it's as clean looking as it is on the BMW M3's.

You can take apart you tail lgihts and glue in led boards or add led lights to you housings by drilling holes.... experiment on diy... buy some taillights from a junkyard to play with....
Led lights are tricky though you should research them before trying any thing new

LED replacment bulbs don't always (or even ever) create the same 'brilliance' that OEM LED lights create (such as the G35/Z)...In fact in the two instances I've seen, using quality brand LED bulbs, the tail lights have actually 'decreased' in terms of visibility and brightness, as the LED light is directional and not 'illluminating' such as a normal halogen bulb...
(My buddy installed them on his new tiburon, and it made the lights so dim that when you followed his car and had your lights shine on his, you couldn't even see them light up)
