A/C Clutch going out? What to do?
I think that the clutch or bearings or some part of my A/C compressor is bad or going bad. The car runs fine with the A/C off. With the A/C on, every now and then you can feel the car stutter a little and it sometimes can stall the car if the RPM are falling quickly to idle (ex. stopping suddenly at a red light). My question is, do I just need to get another complete compressor? Or is there a clutch/bearing assembly that may be a less expensive repair? Thanks in advance guys!

The fuel filter is brand new.
The car runs perfectly with the a/c off. No stutter, no stall.
The stutter is similar to the way it feels when you turn the a/c on while cruising.
The problem only occurs when the a/c is running. It seems to me that if the bearings were to wear in the compressor it would not allow the pulley to turn freely.

I agree sounds like it could be electrical... The a/c does put a different load on the engine, so it could be associated with an ignition component. I would verify fuel components are working properly as well. But if you are certain these things are fine I don't believe that honda sells anything but the compressor itself.
