Knock-Off seats any good?
Well I have been having a heart-attack at the cost of name brand sport seats. I had no idea these bad boys started at 700+ a pop.
I found these on eBay and was wondering if anyone had experience with knock-offs.
Brinx II knock offs. Blues are $400 shipped for two and the reds are $650 for two. Compare that to almost $1800 for a set of two used ones.
Here is the real deal. $1800
Experinces and help are greatly apreciated. Thanks

What you save in price, you may be compromising in safety. Would you buy knock off brembo's or fake yokohama tires? A seat may not be as cruicial in safety as brakes and tires, but you should always make sure it comes with legit certification for safety testing. You don't just pay more for materials, but R&D and craftsmanship as well.
They come in Alcantara (suede) or regular cloth (same style as recaro and bride seats).
I had black alcantara ones w/o logo in my Integra when I sold it. Honestly, I was very surprised by the quality of the seat. Sure real Bride will be perfect but the replica was pretty damn good. Very tight/snug fitting for me (5'9" 140 lbs) which I liked. If I had to do it again, I'd go with cloth though. The alcantara is nice because it's soft, plush and very comfortable, but it just looks weird in the light

Another problem, how tight are these types of seats? I live out in the Midwest, so there is no shops selling anything like this for me to try out and see in person. I'm 6'5. I have broad shoulders and hips (not fat though

The bolsters are thick and plush. It kept my legs straight. Honestly, might be a little uncomfortable for you, but I can't be sure since I'm not that tall

Sparco Speed = 250$/ea Unless you just want to LOOK ''cool'', you don't need to spend 1800 for good, quality seats. You're just paying for the name. I payed 250 for a seat I loved. You're willing to pay 450 for knock off's when you can get a better, SAFER, authentic seat for less. WTF has H-T come to?
