Default long blocks in a del sol

will a b18b long block or b20b long block be able to fit into a del sol? i know they are B series motor, but "LONG BLOCK" threw me off. i'm guessing it's lengthy? retarded question. just making sure it really does fit... appreciate it people. thank you

yes, that is a dumb question.

longblock = block (bottom end) and head

and yes, it can fit.

It's not that dumb of a question. a B18/B20 block IS longer than a B16 block. not much but it is. I've had all in my del sol, and you don't have to cut the webbing in your hood like some of the HF's.

that's not what he meant. he didn't know what the term of "longblock" means.

he was guessing it was "lengthy". well, it is more lengthy than a B16 block right? and it can cause fitment issues in certain cars right? someone worried about fitment might want to know this info. just tryin to help a brotha out.

he was talking about the term, "long block." he thought it meant "lengthy."
as if there are two different engines (ex. shortblock and longblock).

the term longblock has nothing to do with the engine's length.

and if he's wondering, shortblock = just the block (bottom end)

good try on trying to "help a brotha out"
