my new HID retrofit project: TSX into EJ2
well as the tiltle says i started my new TSX retrofit this weekend, picking at it here and there, i have it done but still need to get some final adjustments made to the aiming tommororw so i will post the completed pics then..... in the mean time here are a few pics of the installation process for those who don't knwo what needs to be done to your headlights for this to work.....
pic of the headlight housing all taken apart, everything gutted and big hole cut in the back in order to fit the igniter on the back of the projector.

this is the original projector base which i cut about 3 inches off and left it as shown in this pic so i can mount the TSX projector to it and still keep the original adjustment screws

this is how it will fit back in the housing after i attach the TSX projector to it

here is the difference in my old Audi TT HID projectors and my new TSX ones

here is a pic of the projector after being mounted to the adjustment bracket

pic of the near finished housings without bezels or glass on yet

bezels needed to be trimmed to accomidate the bigger TSX projectors

after removing the UGLY angle eye rings that were there b4 i preped them for some paint

so i gave em some self etching primer first

then finished em off with some metalic charcoal

here is a pic of the Stock TSX projector cutoff

and after doign the shield mod with washers for more color and flicker (not great pic, better in person)
and some pics of me getting them aligned out in the garage...haha, don't laugh at the flowery blanket i am using as a backdrop, lol

more pics to come guys....will update in the next day or so with night pics, cutoff pics, down-the-road shots and pics of the final product as it looks on the car...............any commments feel free to let me have it
