pedal assembly sparking!?!
Alright, ive been having an electrical problem for the last month now. When i hit my brakes my lights dim and my cd player shuts off momentarily. Well, tonight i was messing with my throttle cable and while i was down there i noticed that when i hit the brakes i get a spark off of the pedal assembly! thats when everything cuts out. Anyone ever have this happen before or know how i can fix it?? thanks in advance.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
So are your brake lights grounding at the pedal to create the circuit?
There is something called the "BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH" at the pedal assembly.
No wiring should be touching your pedal what-so-ever. Your pedal should contain no electric charge.

download the CRX WORKSHOP MANUAL
Read page 338 and 610 then get back to us.
Page 610 shows us that there is a 12v+ current running into the "Brake Light Switch" at the pedal.
There should be rubber insulation, if there is not, that 12V is likely running through the metal of the switch into the pedal itself.
Problem solved
