three problems and they are killing me i want to drive the civic already!!!!
ok incase you don't know my orig. problem someone put antifreeze in my gas tank now that we got the fixed here is one out of three problems i have,
ok i had about four codes when i got my civic running i fixed them all but one, for some reason my code 41 will not go away. i pluged in two different o2 sensors one is brand spanking new i just took it out the honda factory bag and still got code 41 am i doing something wrong with it should i unplug the battery and rest the ecu over night or something i can't get it to get ride of code 41 (primary o2 sensor) let me know what to look at
now that the civic is running it was idling good the first night we got it running started it up today and it was idling a little funny and when i stepped on the gas it sounded like a v8 now remember
ok here is the second problem, ok i was running the car today because i want what ever of the bad gas to burn out of my system so it was running i was putting **** back together on the inside of my civic and out of the blue the car started acting like it wanted to turn off and i was like o no here we go again, then it turned off went to start it again and it didn't even turn over grabbed a boost it and hooked it up and boom it started i took off the boost it and it ran for like five mins then it died again so i know the battery is going dead so i put it on the battery tender, now what i want to know is how can i test the altenator (mind you i got it rebuilt maybe about 5 months about but remember the civic was not running for a while for about 3 months but the battery was on the battery tender the whole time) so what could it be? is the battery shoot like no good never to use again and can the battery being dead cause the car not to run? i had nothing hooked up no radio nothing hooked up to run just the engine let me know what to do
ok last problem i think my vacuum hoses are a little mixed up does someone have an easy diagram to read for a obd2 setup?

The battery could be shot, do you have another one you can use in the civic temporarily to find out? Trace your o2 wires from the sensor to the ecu and make sure they are all wired to the correct pinouts. For vacuum hoses, I just capped off anything not 100% necessary. My car idles perfectly, so I can't complain.
To test your alternator, all you have to do is have your car running for a minute, then take off one of the battery cables....If the car shuts off, your alternator is going...if the car stays on....alternator is good. Also, I think you are supposed to disconnect the battery and the ecu in order to reset them (for installing the new O2 sensor).

Disconnect the battery and pull the 7.5 back up fuse.

ok i took the battery out over night and i put it in today and let the car run i still had the cel code 41, also i ran the civic for about 15 mins and i put the lights on and it started to died out but i will do that tomorrow let the battery charge over night and start the car disconnect everything that i don't need on and let the engine run with no battery plugged in if it runs then it is the battery but how long does the car run off the altenator?
