let me guess, before this hatch you cruised something more sporty and now you are dissapointed when realizing how a civic feels?
i always had eclipse's, camaro's, etc, and choose to get a civic hatch for a hybrid.
its fun to go fast with the swap, and i think it even looks sexy, but the bottom line is that no matter what i can still tell that its an econoshitbox civic. the shifter isn't close in like a real sports car, the dash isn't angled toward the driver like many sports cars, etc.
for these few reasons, i almost would rather have an integra as well.

sad, but i kinda agree... riding in a civic and riding in even a miata are 2 totally different experiences

So you're saying an integra feels sportier?

precisely.
now i wouldnt take this as "i think my civic is a pos." i was mearly joking when i called it an econoshitbox. when i drive my 97 civic it feels like new compared to other cars its age that ive driven. you can feel the quality craftsmanship, its solid(for as tiny as it is), it doesnt rattle at all like my eclipse did. my cousins 91 four door civic drove like it was on rails with all original suspension a few years back when i drove around san diego in it.
this doesnt change the fact that a civic feels like an economy car inside rather than a sports car, or a sport compact car. eclipse's, integra's, miata's, any other more "sporty" end cars absolutely feel more sporty in a few ways. i was mostly considering the ergonomic's inside of the car that contribute to the un-sporty driving experience in a civic. i know everyone throws thousands into suspension and has something that will out handle any overweight stock eclipse, but you can put in the nicest recaro's you can find and sit down and drive and the car is still setup with the ergonomics of an econobox rather than a sports/sportcompact type of vehicle.
to integra's
(i wish i knew how to do the beer emoticon)

Ah I see, I thought initially you were talking about the overall feel of the chassis. I understand what you're saying and I definately agree on the basis of ergonomics. I got to drive a gsr and the interior is much nice as is the 03 si's once you get used to the shifter. But after I drove my friend's 95 m3 I remember saying "wtf am I doing playing with Hondas."
