Car won't start after cleaning the engine bay, help!!!!
I have cleaned my engine bay like this 5 times before so I don't know what I did wrong but now the car won't start.
It does not even attempt to turn over. I turn the key and all I hear is a faint hissing sound.
When I cleaned the engine bay, I covered the fuse box, intake filter, and dizzy. I checked to make sure there was no water in the plugs, and everything was dry, I also checked to make sure no fuses were blown and they are all fine.
Help....

Open up the distibutor and check I covered mine up very well while cleaning mine and it still got enough in there to keep it from starting up.
Other than that just start tracing wires starting at the battery.

same thing happened to my friends car when he got the engine all cleaned, just wait until tomorrow and try it and I bet it will fire up, water probably go in somewhere somehow even though it was all covered....
If you have fuel and spark then your car would start. Like the other guy said, open up that distributor, let it sit overnight too. Also, take wire dryer (comes in aerosol can like carb cleaner) and spray anything electrical, next time, do this first. Oh yeah, is that you in the picture?.............Good lord!
During the warm months, I usually clean my engine bay about once a month with a high pressure steam cleaner we have at work. I never cover anything, and never had a problem. That is, until I used a Wells dizzy cap instead of OEM that leaked and I misfired like crazy. Replaced with OEM, and never had a problem again.
I'd pull all plug wires, dizzy, fuze box, etc. and check for water or blown fuses. Check for any water anywhere else, spray WD-40 on the critical areas, and if you have a compressor, blow dry wherever you can. Good luck.

forgetting a ground wire can lead to the car not starting.
