98-02 are 6gen accords. You can pick up either a H22, H23, F22, or F23 manual tranny. I'm actually waiting for a 6gen full write up too. 6gens have a speedo problem when swapping over but I know a guy who figured it out, and I'm still waiting for him to do a complete write up.

you can pretty much use the 4th and 5th gen write ups for the mechanical part, just use 6th gen parts. but for the wiring i got no clue. it was easy on my obdI accord.

hey wats up man. i have a 2001 accord coupe and i swapped in a 03 CL-S engine with 6spd tranny, so i have basically everything from the firewall forward. my stock accord engine is a 2001 F23A4 with 5spd tranny. everything is in perfect working condition. perfect for a 5spd swap. let me know.

Off the top of my head:
VSS
You'll need to find neutral with the auto gear shifter first... There's something you need to do with that, but I can't remember. Turbowa knows... There was a recent thread where he desribed what needed to be done.
I'm drawing a blank for the rest...

I have completed this swap. To do it correctly including the wiring you better have your big boy pants on. The wiring is a pain in the ***. I need to get some time after work to do a write up. The pedals MUST be from a 98-02 accord 5spd. The pass. side mount to the frame is a bolt on instead of weld like the 5th gens. To get the car in nutral its under the hood at the tranny range switch.

To get the VSS working you will need to run all there wires and source a conector for the sensor. The engine wiring harness has to be re-wiried, theres a plug at the ecu that needs re-pinned, and you have to add a wire to the pass. side multi plex unit/fuse box and re-pin a connector over there too. Your first step to getting all the wiring figured out is to buy a helms ETM. This will be your bible. Any one wanting to try this swap I STRONGLY urge you to buy this. It is damn near imppossible with out it.

I'm almost ready to pay you OT so you can stay after work and make a full write up. Everything from wire colors and pictures! HAHAHA

He's a really busy guy, but I'm about to get both the haynes and ETM books so maybe I can do a write up before I even do the swap??? He said he'll walk me through it via the books.
