Default code 41 (O2 sensor) after wideband install..........<<<<wtf>>>>

i recently installed a plx-m300 wideband and wired a constant power, ground, plugged the harness in, and wired the white wire (wideband readout) to pin d14 which is the o2 wire and is also white. i reset my ecu twice and its still there. its in a 95 civic ex running a p28 with uberdata. lmk if anyone has any suggestions other than pulling the cel light bulb. thanks

If you've removed the stock O2 from the engine, have you installed a dummy resistor to simulate the stock O2 heater element?

In stock form the ECU can't handle the 0-5v output from the PLX on it's o2 input. You need to either disable the o2 sensor and o2 heater in your ems program, or connect the simulated narrowband (grey) wire from the PLX to the ECU.

He isn't getting a code for the heater, he is getting a code for the signal. Reason why is he put the wideband OUT into the ECU. Of course at this point the ECU is going "WTF" as it sees the 0-5v scale. It doesn't know what to do with it.

You can't roll around 24/7 with the wideband unless you:

1). Disable the O2 on the chip
2). Run an emulator

Can you read? Here is a LINK to help you understand what the codes are. Code 41 is indeed for the primary O2 heater.

I was looking into this a while ago too...........

I think your problem is that you wired the WIDEBAND readout to the signal, what you need to do is wire the NARROWBAND simulator wire from the PLX to the o2 signal wire......

The ecu can't read the wideband voltage signal so it's probably saying WTF mates?.........

What do I win?

Well damn, I surely do....thanks for catching that.

Have you become more familiar with the code list?

No. I've just been studying up on my language skills. Can't you tell?

I usually look for correct info before I start in on someones grammar - you failed that so I never got around to seeing how proficient you were in your language skill - sorry. But hey, pat yourself on the back - you got something right.

Well thanks for considering me as such a person - that is the true honor. And what difference does it make if I make mistakes in my daily life - you're the one who made a mistake. Suck it up, learn and move on.

so do i need to do 1 and 2 ---- or just 1 or 2?
if i disable the o2 on my chip i should be good or do i have to run an emulator also?
if i have to run an emulator......how the f do i do that?<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Hybrid93Eg &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

Since I was mistaken and the code you are getting is indeed for the heater, I would just make a chip that disabled the O2 heater and be done.
