Default my first street race with my new car

I just got done racing some guy in a 5th generation coupe i don't think it was a sohc v-tec and if it was it was worked because he gave me a lil trouble.he had me for like the first 30 feet after that it was preety much all me but he never left the length of my car until i was doin about 90ish i could see he was beahind then i slowed down.
What would your opinion be on a soch v-tec if that was what he had vs. and Da b17 with just intake. i fucked the launch up engine speed was at about 2.5 when i dumped the clutch and mashed the gas tires spun and then the tach droped back down to nearly one then the car started picking up.What is you technique when launching
he definatly had me on the launch

maybe your car needs a tune-up. I previously had a Civic EX and my Integra would eat it for lunch.

My point wasnt so much a single cam was giving him trouble. Just if i was running an LS with an intake its like why bother. Its people like this who end up putting their cars into poles and ruining imports for everyone else.

Let me say I am not condoning street racing BTW. It is very much _not_ cool. If you want to race take it to the track, don't be stupid on public roads!
