Ticking noise
Around 2k rmp's maybe 1500 to 2000 there is a slight ticking noise on my Accord if not revving it to that it doesn't make the noise and if you rev it above 2000 rpm's it goes away. I don't know if it does it when driving or not I just know it does it standing still. I had my grandfather look at it and he thought it was probably ok but I still would like to know what it is. Would it be the valves ticking? It doesn't sound exactly like they do when they are sticking on other vehicles but I'm mainly familiar with them on ATV's and Trucks not I haven't really heard valves click on a Honda although it doesn't sound exactly like others but similar. What do you guys think it would be?
how many miles on the car? maybe it needs a valve lash adjustment. Just about everyone I know who has an accord complains about that when the engine first starts up but after it warms up it should go away.
Sounds like a sewing machine dosen't it.....
I am at 130K and car runs like a champ.

I have a 170k some miles. I think around 175k and have owned it since new so know it has been maintained yep it sounds kind of like a sewing machine. It may go away after it warms up I'm thinking it does and thats why I don't notice it driving it. When I have heard it it has always been when I first start it up.
