Are all OEM 1.6 L timing belts the same...

I am going to change the timing belt on my Z6 and my wifes y7 and I was on the majestic honda site. the timing belt for the Z6 (Part # BELT (104RU24 A-555) is $37.73 while the one for Y7 (BELT (104RU24 B-333) is $22.65.

I thought they were all the same as long as it is a D16. any thoughts?

bump 4 a good question... if they have different part #'s then i would assume they would be different some how.... but then again i don't know.

no they arent the same, diffrent water pump designs on VTEC motors i believe is the diff

nope not all timing belts are the same...

the have different # of teeths on them.. and it will vary...

i run a y8 belt on my D16A/Z6 mini-me...the Y8 is about 1/2 the price as the z6 and fits the same, ast least on my application. Someone recommended it so I tried it...
