Default EVO 8 for a GSR? Should I?

OK right now I am not backwards in debt, but I want to get out of debt completely. So I am thinking about either trading ( plus cash ) my 03 EVO 8 for a GSR, or selling my EVO and getting a GSR. I really like the EVO 8, it is by far the fastest and best handling car that I have ever drivin', but it isnt as good on gas as I would like it to be. I just dont want to deal with car payments and that crap. Hondas have ALOT of potential, so does the evo 8. I am really thinking about saying goodbuy to the EVO 8 and its bulletproof engine.

To all, who like the EVO 8 its one hell of a car. I have the greatest feeling when I smash on Z06's and tear up some domestic muscle cars. Am I crazy? Insane? or jsut thinking of the long run? What does everyone think?

I personally think it makes sense. Thats the only reason that I didnt go with a much newer and better car, I just didnt feel like paying 4-500 a month jsut for the car payment, plus Im sure insurance rapes you.

i cant make a decision for you, but i can tell you what i think...

i would get rid of the evo and buy something that you can afford. if you can barely afford the evo right now, think about what it can do to you in a few more months.

i was sorta in your situation...after I totalled my rsx. It was either get another RSX and go back to paying monthlies...or get a teg...I got a teg.

For your situation...how bout u get a 02+ Civic SI/RSX, they are pretty cheap now used...you get the K series engine that has lots of potential, you get a platform that thieves don't go after. Just throw a turbo on that and enjoy yourself.

If I lived in Cali, I'd never own my GSR unless I lived on a farm or something.

getting yourself out of debt asap is the smartest thing you can do financially for the long term. i think its a wise decision to move to an integra.

keep the evo.
thats the car i want now. ive been looking at them. they are so nice in white. they are badass cars.
my gsr is going up for sale so i can buy one in june.

your gsr will be stolen and stripped. do not buy one.
gsr has no torque and really is not all that, trust me ive had mine 3 years.

keep the evo man youll regret it when a z06 or an american muscle car revs on you.

yea man winning the race isnt the most important thing... getting out of debt would be BIG. that **** must suck. with a teg u can just lay back and relax with the money situation.. but no doubt the evo is the better car. well honestly if i was u id go teg. i have a 90 LS bc im 17 and i worked for my car, so a GSR is a dreamcar for me. i guess its all about how u look at the situation. maybe when ur out of debt u can save for an EVO X. gl man, whichever way u go u'll end up with a pimp car.

I'd rather sell Evolution cause getting out of debt really sucks especailly car payments....I hate car payments....it seems it never ends......it's up to you though....

if your in a hurry to get out of debt then sell the evo and drive your teg until your financially stable, then get an EVO9 or somthing. but you did mention that you can afford the EVO but you hate car payments, you could also suck it up and stick with your EVO, but ultimately it's up to you man.

Sell the EVO and get either a Integra, Prelude, Eclipse GS-T/GTS, Older AWD Eclipse, Nissan 240SX, Nissan 350Z, Nissan 300ZX, Mazda RX-7. Most of these cars are older and have lots of ability, this way you can build it hardcore with the money you'll save from EVO Payments. BTW if you don't mind sharing... How much are the payments a month including the insurance?

I recommend vortech supercharger over jackson racing. Get alot more power and torque. It does cause more but worth it.

SuperCharger is just lame, IMO.. (yes, many friends of mines, have reconsidered, after I took em for a ride in a turbo GSR )
