Ways to Protect Cabon Fiber,Besides Wax?
searching only came up with waxing regular to protect carbon fiber.
i want to know, since summer is getting closer and my car will be parked out in the sun all day in 90-100+ degree weather everyday, are there ANY other ways to protect your CF.
I was thinking that 3M painters tape like some people use for road trips or racing to prevent dings might work...i dont care if my car looks stupid with a blue wing and hatch--as long as its not getting destroyed you know?
If that works im not saying ill have my car taped up ALL summer haha. i just want to protect my investments against the desert heat

Use a sealant instead of a wax. Sealants withstand heat better than waxes and last longer. And you can always top the sealant with a carnuba wax for extra protection. If the car is parked outside I would look into getting a car cover.

Im using the EX-P sealant... the poorboys products are nice because you can apply them in direct sunlight.

is that sealant somthing like wax you buy and rub on, or do you mean somthing that gets put on like the gel coat?
my cars get garaged when im home but when im at work etc,its in the elements
edit- thanks,we posted at the same time it looks like

The application of a sealant is basically the same as wax, but you should always remove previous coats of wax before applying the sealant. You can do that by using a polish and/or claybar. Then apply your sealant, you can apply 2-3 layers of EX-P (wait at least 24 hours in between layers) and then top that off with a carnuba wax if you feel like it.
EDIT: make sure to use a silicone free polish such as poorboys Professional Polish, using polishes that contain fillers and oils can affect the longevity of the sealant.
