Just wondering if any of you guys were using these filters. And if you have any input that would be great...

I was curious about this too, now that I have gone to a remote filter mount. Seems expensive as hell to replace the inserts vs. any regular oil filter, not to mention the initial cost.

 

I've had one sitting in my toolbox for a few months. As I remember the inserts cost about $10, which is about the same price as a high quality oil filter. A buddy of mine had one in his GT-4 honda and swore by them.

 

Here's some info from their site:

CM remote oil filters are 3-1/4" in diameter and come 4" tall with 1/2" N.P.T. ports or 6" tall with either 1/2" or 3/4" N.P.T. ports. Machined from a lightweight aluminum extrusion, the housings are black anodized with a red anodized top and a clear anodized bottom cap. Stainless steel mounting clamp and 8 micron element included.
