well guys I was wondering.. on a regular basis how fast do you go? Im not talking about how fast have you been. or how fast you cruise. but how fast do you go when you get that wild hair up your ***? I know I catch myself over a 100 mph sometimes.. I just dont pay enough attention and look down and im like damn!. but I love it and wont stop. but then again I live in the country with lots of back roads and desolate highways! so once again do you ever go over a hundred?

 

Umm usually on the freeway I cruise around at 80-85. On the streets I usually go around 45-60. Depends on the area I am riding at. If I know a certain area has cops wandering around or waiting I go the speed limit. If it's an area that cops rarely show, I tend to be a little faster. Also when the freeway is open, I crack the throttle once in a while taking it past 100.

 

im about the same...around 70-90 on freeway depending on how crowded, and usually around 45 or so on streets.

the weirdest part, is that its really easy to down it 2 gears and crack open the throttle when im not watchin my speedo and goin like 95...like oh well, why not take it up a little more, i'm already goin this fast.

i know thats probobly bad but i dont really go nuts on the highways, i just like the on / off ramps

I went about 50mph on my scooter back in the day.

As far as my bike goes? I have done over 130 on it, but I usually keep it under 80, as I'd be finished if I got pulled over.

 

I've hit an indicated 140+ before but I usually cruise on the highway between 65-85 and a touch faster if I really want to get by someone.

 

I hit 155 on the way to work today. I was messing with this Gixxer.

my speedo doesn't work

 

i speed constantly. i don't care about the cops, i have a sixth sense. i don't ride out of control, i know my limits and i don't endanger others, only myself. my speedo doesn't work either

That's precisely why I'm trying to stay away from a liter bike. At least my engine sounds like it's about to blow up when I'm going too fast. That way I could tell w/o looking down at my speedo

 

yeah you deffinatly arn't in the minority. Its just so easy to go 100+, feels like you can almost get off and walk at that speed.

I did 120 on my '89 when I had it.

 

174 indicated on the 636. Between sprockets and speedo incorrectness, prob 155 acutual. All i know is **** was coming up a bit too fast in front of me.

I doubt I've gone much faster than 80 but normal highway crusing is prolly 65-70.

That's kind of hypocritical wouldn't you say?

I thought I'd be with the majority here, but I guess I'm just a big *****. 80-85 is about the fastest I've gone on a public road. I95 AND I was getting passed by cages.

My speedo didn't work at the time but I'd figure probably at least 135-140 at the end of the front straight on Summit Main.

 

dont 120 with my dad, i was so shookin up and then wanted to do it again

 

All depends on my mood,how i feel that day,traffic ect.Generaly if im alone just going somewhere im pretty cautious but i do go about 70-80 highway,an 80-100 on interstate.If traffic is low i will go faster.

 

i usually just hang around the general flow of other traffic around me; last thing i want or need to do is stick out in socal lately with the CHP going insane.

Maybe he had it maxed out y0! It's possible to be over 130 indicated and be gloing slower than 125.... either way that's too effin fast without a cage for me.
