Phillip, the car looked really healthy goin down the track. That mph is sick for a stock motor. I think it's time to let it hook!

the car is hard to launch, it bogs unless you 2step the **** out of it to get boost. working on the 330s this week and see what i can get it down to. i can add boost in 1st and 2nd gear, the rpm and wheel speed are very linear.

thanks

Congrats Phillip. Once you get the 330's dialed in you'll be in the 10's on your stock GSR.

I just fail to see how his setup is classified as "stock"...

As I go back and look at his setup I notice that he didn't post his motor. It's a stock GSR motor....no upgraded pistons/rods, not sleeved or bored/honed, etc....that would be stock.

I'm not trying to hate or anything... but when someone with I/H/E on thier engine posts in kills about how they smoked someone up with thier "Stock" engine, its widley rejected as not being stock since it has bolt ons. This guy strapped on a turbo, a very large one at that, and goes out and runs 11's.. He lists it as "stock" when indeed it is VERY far from stock, just the internals are not touched. So could I list my motor as "stock" since it has all Honda OEM parts in it? Thats my point.

WOW! I'm stunned. Ok Phillip I guess running a low 11 on a stock internal motor while there are others around you that spent $3500+ building their motors is not impressive. ****...Phillip, maybe if you get the car dialed in a break a 10, that's not impressive either because what's impressive being able to compete with other guys that have spent thousands on their motors building them, when you are still on your stock internal block?

Hybrid93Eg, I'm not sure how familiar you are with forced induction setups, but again what Phillip did is impressive because most cars that are in the 11's have spent thousands building their motors with aftermarket parts while Phillip is still using stock Honda parts.

I think the point of my post went right over your head. I never said his times were not impressive. They are. Thats not what I was posting about.

everyone but that one guy understands what you mean by stock gsr.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by philipwight &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">the car is hard to launch, it bogs unless you 2step the **** out of it to get boost. working on the 330s this week and see what i can get it down to. i can add boost in 1st and 2nd gear, the rpm and wheel speed are very linear.

word, I know you will get it worked out. might just need something to get it up on boost at a lower 2step rpm.

Believe me, I am not trying to "hate" on your accomplishment at all. I respect the times you have run with the work you have done. Was just asking a question regarding the validity of using the statement "stock"... Anyways, congrats on the time.

Stock long block... how about that?

When we say stock motor, pushing this kind of power and running these times, you can't compare it to a I/H/E car. When you are telling people your mods are I/H/E, there is no doubt that your motor is stock. But when you tell somoneone you are running 11.4s @ 127, it is a big f*cking deal to tell them it was with a stock motor. No one is saying his car is stock, just the motor... All that other stuff is just bolt-ons

Anyway, nice pass Phil

Sweet run philip, if you can get a good 1.70 60 ft. and work that 330 down, you will really impress the **** out of these people..With alittle more seat time i'm sure it's very possible..

Let's just pray she doesn't gernade..

Best of Luck

This is in a GSR shell too correct?? if so even more impressive Ive seen plenty of 10 second stock internaled bubbles on the east coast but not too many fast stock motor Tegs
