Clutch and flywheel install ; What do I need to complete the install?
I'm about to do a clutch and flywheel install on my R.
In addition the the clutch and flywheel, what bearings, screws/bolts and whatnot do I need as well to complete the install?
I take I have to buy some new tranny fluid also, since the tranny must be drained when dropped.
oh, and it's an Action 1KS clutch and Action Racing 8lbs aluminimum flywheel thats going in. The clutch comes with pilotbearing, throwout bearing and alignment tool.

Only thing I can think of is the obvious being your tools...
and maybe some brake clean/clean shop towels to ensure there is no grease on the surface of the flywheel when you install the pressure plate/disc....
You may also want to get some high temp urea grease - FWIW, I used high temp bearing grease and that seemed to work well for the release bearing fork.
You are pretty much set with everything your received from Action clutch kit in terms of parts....

Sounds good.
So I don't need to change/replace anything else regarding the flywheel install? Just reuse everything.

The only thing I can really think of right now is to replace the cotter pins that you'll be removing off the castle nuts on the front lower control arm.
These tend to be corroded, and I always get pissed off fuggin around with them and just end up cutting them with a set of tin snips....the manual tells you to replace them anyway.
Also, you may need to replace the shift linkage pin if you muck it up while trying to remove it...(hey I've seen it happen). Otherwise, nothing has to be replaced.... I also like to dab a little bit of blue loctite on the flywheel bolts....

Thanks
So to sum it up just for future record, all the parts I need are:
- new tranny fluid
- high temp bearing grease for the release bearing fork
- pilot bearing, throwout bearing and alignment tool (comes with the clutch kit)
- brake clean/clean shop towels to ensure the flywheel is clean
- blue loctite for the flywheel bolts
- some cotter pins
- new clutch fluid might also be nice

list looks good to me.... bleed the clutch after the whole procedure...
it's a good "might as well" practice...since everything else is new!
Good luck
