1st and 2nd o2 sensor
i just put comptech heders on my 98 ls and i cant get the o2 sensor off of the stock exhaust manifold. i went out and bought a torch and that didnt help either. i only used propane, im not sure if i needed to use map gas or not. please let me know.
if i cant get the o2 off the stock exhaust manifold then i was thinking i would use the o2 from the cat since im goin to buy a high flow off ebay and an 02 simulator since its cheaper to buy a o2 simulator and ebay cat rather then a cutom cat with an o2 bung.
im not to sure how these parts match up and i dont know a thing about o2 simulators so any info will be very appreciated.

i think the o2 simulator takes the place of the actual o2 sensor, that way if you run a straight pipe or cat with no o2 bung the check engine light wont go off.
let me know if anyone knows where to get an o2 sensor for cheap.

My friend has an o2 simulator but he still had to use his 2nd o2 sensor. He re-wired two wires from the o2 sensor to the o2 simulator.

isnt there a way to get an o2 simulator that makes the actaul o2 sensors obsolete. when i finish my set up i will not have an o2 bung on my cat so if the sensor requires you to keep the 2nd o2 then what is the point
Some people just get the o2 simulator so they don't get a CEL. I think there are companies that make o2 simulators that don't require an actual o2 sensor. They are more expensive though. I was looking for the same thing about a month ago.
