I installed my AEM hybrid intake this evening on my EG hatch and I seem to be running into some issues with the clearance of the lower radiator hose and the intake tube itself.
I have the dual core Del Sol radiator. The lower radiator hose would fit perfectly except for this damn curve in the hose. This small curve is hitting the intake tube and causing it to move around. On top of that I'm not crazy about having a hot radiator hose heat up my intake tube.
The curve takes place near the transmission mount and reroutes the radiator hose about an inch in the direction of the passenger side (this is where it is contacting the intake pipe) for about 4-5 inches, after that the hose snakes back inline to plug into the the radiator nipple on bottom.
I have no idea why the hose bends this way in the first place since its not curving around anything near the transmission mount or fan.....and could easily just plug right into the radiator nipple if it were a straight shot.
UPDATE: I must have used a CRV hose or something when I did the swap last summer. Bought a replacement hose for a 3rd gen Integra today and its a straight shot down from the top of the tranny down to the lower radiator nipple. Looks like it should solve the contact problem.
