Default hydraulic tranny in crx?

I bought a '91 si shell that needs everything except interior... I about to buy a complete Y8 setup. Is the y8 hyrdraulic tranny useless for me? im sure i would be better off just buying an Si tranny. what are my options? i want a strong, reliable daily driver....thanks

It would be easier to just use an Si Tranny. You could also use a ZC tranny that uses equal length axles for less torque steer
