d15...... would the larger manifold and throttle body be money well spent or a waste? Someone on here told me power pulleys were a waste 2 so Jus checkin wit the professionals

 

which d15 is it? hopefully its the jdm d15b or at least d15b7 (found in dx/lx). if not, i wouldnt waste my time or money and the d15b7 is pushing that. and intake mani and tb will liven up the motor somewhat. but to put those to use you need to throw a bigger cam in it. i'll leave it at that for the time being. hope that helps

swap to a z6/y8 head alond with the ex/si tranny. add a bigger cam and you'll get some more power from that bigger intake mani and throttle body you want.

 

D15...Yes! I love people striving to remain the under dog! Your best start to more power will be to high flow exhaust, larger intake manifold (less restrictive), fuel pressure regulator, then cam/cam gears. That's the path that Skunk 2 recommends. It seems to be working for me! Pulley's aren't a waste of money because they're light, well balanced and look nice. The only down fall is if your car doesn't have a lot of torque to back the engine, you'll lose power on up hill's due to centrifugal force loss(the same will apply to lighter flywheels). Good luck.
